During the Second World War, Sophie Scholl joined her brother and his friends in resisting against the Third Reich. As students at the University of Munich, they wrote, produced and distributed thousands of leaflets protesting the Nazis. Scholl’s boyfriend, Captain Fritz Hartnagel, informed her of several SS and army atrocities.
